NAMIC Political Action Committee (PAC) | Sweepstakes Official Rules
National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) is the sponsor of this contest, and its beneficiary is NAMIC PAC, NAMIC’s separate segregated fund (federal political action committee). Individual contributions to NAMIC PAC are used to contribute to candidates for public office who are supportive of the industry. Contributions to NAMIC PAC are not tax-deductible. Contributions are strictly voluntary, and you have the right to refuse to contribute without any reprisal. Making a contribution to NAMIC PAC does not increase your chances of winning.
NO PURCHASE OR CONTRIBUTION IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SWEEPSTAKES. SUBMITTING A SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY BY ANY OF THE MEANS IDENTIFIED BELOW CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE RULES. OFFER VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS APPLY TO THIS SWEEPSTAKES AND THE SELECTION OF A WINNER.
Eligibility: This sweepstakes is open to individuals who are residents of the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. You must be 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry in order to enter. Offer void where prohibited. Eligibility is limited to executive and administrative personnel of National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, its affiliated and member companies; stockholders of such companies; and the household family members of these two groups. Additionally, only U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents (as evidenced by a “green card”) may participate.
Duration of Sweepstakes: The sweepstakes begins at 12:00 A.M. EST on 9/1/2023 and ends at 11:59. EST on 8/30/2024.
Three Methods of Entry: No purchase or contribution is required to participate in the sweepstakes. (1) Individuals who make a contribution to NAMIC PAC between 9/1/2023 and 8/30/2024 by following the instructions located at www.namic.org/pac/sweepstakes are automatically entered in the drawing, with those contributing between $250-$999 entered to win the “Chef’s Dream” Prize and those contributing $1,000-$5,000 entered to win the “Adventure” Prize. (2) Existing NAMIC PAC contributors may enter the drawing by sending an email titled “ENTRY TO SWEEPSTAKES” with the participant’s name, telephone number, and e-mail address to igremillion@namic.org until 11:59 p.m. EST on 8/30/2024. (3) Individuals who are not NAMIC PAC contributors and who do not wish to contribute to NAMIC PAC at this time may enter the drawing through the same process outlined above for existing NAMIC PAC contributors. Individuals who participate in the sweepstakes by methods (2) or (3) will receive an e-mail confirming their entry and providing a copy of the sweepstakes official rules. LIMIT ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON REGARDLESS OF THE METHOD OF ENTRY USED. All sweepstakes entries become the property of Sponsor. Entries will not be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, corrupted, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, or not otherwise correctly received due to technical, administrative, or human error, including, but not limited to, any software, hardware, computer or networking issues, or any other circumstances – technical or otherwise – beyond Sponsor’s control. At its sole discretion, Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel this sweepstakes if it appears that the integrity, security, or administration of this process may be called into question.
Prizes: The “Adventure Prize” includes a 5-day/4-night stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Jackson Hole, WY, base airfare for two to JAC airport, and a $500 voucher. The “Chef’s Dream” prize includes an All-Clad D5 Stainless-Steel 24-Piece Cookware Set. The odds of winning depend on the number of qualified entries received. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
Selection of Winners: The prize winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries on or about 9/01/2024 to be held at NAMIC’s office in Washington D.C. The prize winners will be notified on or about 9/9/2024. An alternate prize winner will be selected via random drawing in the event the prize cannot be awarded to the prize winner drawn. There will be one prize awarded for the “Adventure” Prize and the “Chef’s Dream” Prize.
Prize Restrictions: All taxes in connection with the prize, and the reporting consequence thereof, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. You are only eligible to receive one prize from Sponsor per calendar year. Delivery of the “Adventure” Prize will be in calendar year 2025; delivery of the “Chef’s Dream” Prize will be in calendar year 2024.
Limitation of Liability: By participating and/or accepting a prize, entrants and prize winners agree to release and hold harmless National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, its member companies, and NAMIC and member companies’ officers, directors, employees and agents, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”), against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the sweepstakes. In addition, the winner agrees that the Released Parties shall have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prize. Sponsor makes no warranties – either express or implied – regarding a particular prize’s merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Conditions: Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner(s). Winner(s) will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent, including a winner’s full social security number, for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by Sponsor in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize.
Decisions regarding all matters relating to the sweepstakes that are not addressed in these Official Rules shall be made by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion, and each participant agrees that all such decisions shall be binding and final. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person (and all of their entries) from the sweepstakes and to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the sweepstakes. Any attempt by an entrant to undermine the legitimate operation of this sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. The Released Parties are not responsible for any part of a sweepstakes prize that cannot be awarded due to acts of god, acts of war, natural disasters, weather, acts of terrorism or other factors beyond Sponsor’s control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating in the sweepstakes, you understand and agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the sweepstakes, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved by Sponsor.
