Professional Farm Mutual Manager Designation (PFMM)


Enrollment for this program will be closing soon. Insurance professionals of all levels and from companies of all sizes are encouraged to enroll in the Mutual Insurance Professional (MIP) certification when registration opens this fall. Please contact certifications@namic.org if you would like to enroll in the PFMM program, receive updates about the launch of the MIP program, or understand what these changes mean for you if you are currently enrolled or certified in the PFMM program.

The NAMIC Professional Farm Mutual Manager (PFMM) designation formally recognizes the educational accomplishments and dedication to professionalism of the progressive farm mutual manager and farm mutual leaders.

Earning Your Certification

  • Enroll in the program and pay the administrative fee.
    We recommend submitting applications prior to starting the process so we can best track your event attendance.
  • Serve in a management role in a farm mutual insurance company or in a management role that actively and regularly works with farm mutual insurance companies.
  • Have a minimum of five years property/casualty insurance experience at the time of completion.
  • Attend, in any order, the in-person PFMM modules and one PFMM virtual module within five years.
  • Track your PFMM course attendance onsite at NAMIC events and turn in the appropriate form(s) to receive credit.

New PFMMs are certified on August 1 of each year regardless of when requirements are completed during the year. Requirements completed after August 1 in any given year results in certification the following calendar year.

Program Benefits

  • Formal recognition of your achievement at NAMIC’s Annual Convention, including a completion certificate, display plaque, lapel pin and participation in the class photo. (If you are unable to attend NAMIC’s Annual Convention in the year you are certified, you may choose to be recognized by your state association or company.)

  • Pride in your achievement and additional knowledge and confidence as a farm mutual leader
  • Complimentary roundtable breakfast at NAMIC’s Annual Convention, once certified.
  • Registration discount at NAMIC in-person events, once certified. Discount applies only to the certified individual and is not transferable.

ANNUAL FEE

PFMM program participants remain in active status by paying the annual active participant fee beginning the calendar year after enrollment.
